A recent adoption:
Hugo is a young Airedale Terrier found in the Shelter at Mildura, in northwest Victoria. AireNet Australia was alerted to his situation, and we are grateful to the Pound Manager, Gary Pretty, who allowed him to be adopted by an experienced and longtime Airedale owner in Adelaide. How Can You Help Airedale Terriers?
Greetings to all our AireNet Australia supporters ~ we value your help in every way. Not everyone can adopt a needy Airedale, but there are plenty of other ways you can make a difference.
One that doesn’t cost a cent is to be alert and watchful for any Airedale who finds him or herself in a shelter. Drop us an email and we will work with the shelter to find a great new home for that dog. In fact, the latest adoption (of Hugo) came about in precisely that way.
Another, very much appreciated form of assistance is with our fundraising events. Each year we need to raise enough money to take care of Airedales who need special care, particularly our Seniors.
A Doggie Portrait
We began 2012 with a wonderful Fundraiser that reached right around the world, touching AireNet supporters everywhere. We thank Denise Keith, who initiated this event, for all that she has achieved for Airedales in need. Denise truly upholds our belief that 'it's all about the dogs!'
Winner of First Prize in this Fundraiser is Camilla Murphy of Queensland. She receives a portrait of her adorable Airedale puppy Rogue, painted by New South Wales Blue Mountains artist, Yoshi Matsumoto. We will show you the portrait as soon as it is completed.
The Runner up Prize, a delightful and amusing study of two Airedales by Yoshi, was won by Lindsay Myers, in USA.
